Teacher of Girls' PE job summary

We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of PE to work within our high performing Academy. This position is open to both ECTs and more experienced teachers.

Main Areas of Responsibility
The purpose of your role will be:

To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to raising standards of student attainment
Your main area of responsibilities will be:

To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the subject area.
To contribute to the subject area’s Improvement Plan and its implementation.
To attend all appropriate meetings.
To plan and prepare courses and lessons.
To contribute to the whole Academy’s planning activities.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will:

University graduate (Good Honours degree)
Evidence of successful teaching experience
Evidence of consistently good teaching and learning
The ability to use ICT effectively to engage students
An understanding of how to use assessment to inform planning for good teaching and learning
The ability to differentiate materials to meet the needs of learners
Evidence of pastoral experience
An interest in the wider curriculum
