The role
Delivering outstanding lessons at all key stages, excellent classroom management skills, have high expectations of students, a commitment to quality teaching and be willing to demonstrate initiative and generate ideas in a school where enthusiasm and hard work are valued. Please note that commitment to delivering after school girls’ sports clubs and to manage a girls’ sports team are essential.

This role would suit a newly qualified teacher or an experienced teacher seeking to make a real impact on the wonderful students at Broadway Academy. The job holder would be expected to continue our commitment to running a broad range of extra-curricular clubs and interventions.
The Department
You will be joining a PE department who are on the journey to provide students with the best learning opportunities. You will be in a supportive and dedicated department working together to achieve excellent outcomes for students. Our facilities include a gym, sports hall, fitness suite, astroturf and MUGA. We offer up to 30 different extracurricular activities throughout the week, with teams across all age groups competing in a range of activities in local leagues. At key stage 4 we offer the Cambridge National level1/2 sports studies and at Key stage 5 we offer BTEC sport level 3. We currently have 3 sports academies on offer at sixth form: a basketball academy with the Birmingham Rockets, a cricket academy with Aston Manor CC and a football academy currently with Alvechurch FC. There is also scope for a potential girls’ sports academy.
