Teacher of Girls’ PE job summary
Malmesbury School requires an enthusiastic, dynamic and well-qualified teacher of PE. An expertise in netball and an ability to teach girls rugby would also be desirable and applications from NQTs are welcome. The school occupies a modern building with excellent facilities including a gymnasium, hall and dance studio as well as five tennis/netball courts and extensive playing fields. The school has strong relationships with local partners and has regular use of the sports hall at ‘The Activity Zone’ (Malmesbury sports centre), as well as access to the swimming pool. At Key Stage 4 Cambridge Nationals Sports Science and AQA GCSE P.E. are offered and large numbers of students sign up for these courses. A Level PE is also offered and the faculty follows the OCR exam board. The outstanding extra-curricular programme offered to students is a particular strength with high levels of participation.
