Teacher of Girls PE & PSHE (temporary until 31.08.20) job summary
Silverdale School is an extremely popular and high-achieving 11-18 comprehensive in the south west of Sheffield and is the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. The school is rated as ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2014) and has an excellent record of student achievement at both KS4 and KS5. At its heart is one of the country’s largest Teaching Schools, the Sheffield Teaching School Alliance. The school sits within a new building with a full complement of facilities.
Silverdale School is part of Chorus Education Trust, and as such all appointees may be required to work at any Trust site in the future.
Teacher of Girls PE & PSHE – 52% FTE
Salary Scale M1 to M6 - Temporary until 31.08.2020
Additional teaching hours to cover short term absences may be available up to 100% FTE
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and successful department and would suit a newly-qualified or recently qualified teacher.
We require an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and committed Girls P.E. and PSHE teacher to join an exceptional department that achieves outstanding results and offers a diverse, inclusive curriculum.
The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of activities and practical PE lessons across a range of year groups.
The high quality, extensive extra-curricular provision offered by the department was noted in our most recent Ofsted report, and the successful candidate would be expected to make a substantial contribution to our extra-curricular offer.
