Are you a passionate and engaging Teacher of History with the ability to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Humanities department?
The Avon Valley School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of History to inspire and advance the aspirations of students.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a successful team and help shape the future of history education in a school dedicated to high standards and inclusivity.

The ability to teach another Humanities subject, enriching the learning experiences of our students, would be an advantage.
The Role
As a teacher of History, you will be responsible for delivering high quality and engaging lessons across the key stages, fostering a love of the past and developing students’ critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dedicated to providing outstanding teaching and learning.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated history lessons.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and progress.
- Be part of a team of dedicated teachers, with a culture of collaboration and high expectations.
- Be instrumental in delivering a rigorous and engaging curriculum that promotes intellectual curiosity and academic excellence.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
