What skills and experience we're looking for

King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented History teacher. This post is to cover maternity leave, it is full-time but there may be some flexibility for a suitable 0.8fte part-time candidate. We are seeking a strong History teacher but applications are welcome from Humanities teachers who are confident in teaching Religious Studies and/or Geography for the summer term. The overriding priority is to secure an excellent practitioner, the successful candidate will benefit from strong departmental support in adapting to our curriculum.

You will teach across the age and ability range, the year groups and subjects taught will make best use of your skills and experience. History is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills alongside the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to show a passion for their subject, work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
