Teacher of History job summary
Thank you for your interest in DCGS. For January 2021, we are seeking a full time highly qualified teacher of History at this
11-18 grammar school for boys with a co-educational Sixth Form. The successful candidate will be expected to teach History
across the school. A willingness to teach Politics could be an advantage.
Dr Challoner’s has 1350 students, of which 420 are in the co-educational Sixth Form. The school was inspected in November
2019 and was judged Outstanding in a full section 5 inspection under the new Education Inspection Framework. It is
regarded as one of the leading grammar schools in the country. As a National Teaching School and lead school of the
Astra SCITT, we provide an exciting range of professional development opportunities.
