Mercia Northridge School

Mercia Northridge School is a secondary school for children aged 11 - 16. It is situated in Sheffield and has over 700 pupils on roll. The school believes in traditional methods of teaching and academic rigour, with a strong focus on behaviour, closely modelled on Mercia School.

The role

We are seeking a highly skilled and talented teacher of history to join our team, starting in January 2027. Passionate about history, you will share our desire to drive outcomes and ensure we offer the best available opportunities for pupils. History is extremely popular at Mercia Northridge School, and we are keen to build on existing expertise within the department. We have recently moved to the AQA GCSE specification, but all candidates are encouraged to apply. 

We are ambitious for all, which is reflected in our academically rigorous curriculum. You will be responsible for teaching pupils across key stage 3 and 4. 

The staff within the department are extremely talented and the results will be exceptional in 2027. It is a brilliant opportunity to contribute to the exciting curriculum and assessment development already underway.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
