What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent in History

  • Qualified teacher status

  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Degree at 2:1 or above

  • Good knowledge of the History curriculum across at least two key stages

  • Able to teach to A Level

  • Good use of new technologies

  • Commitment to being involved in the wider life of school through participation in extra-curricular activities

  • Willing to organise and participate in enrichment visits to the UK and abroad

  • Experience of working in a similar setting

  • The ability to teach RE/Geography at KS3

  • Able to engage, enthuse and motivate students of all abilities

  • Enthusiasm for subject

  • Enjoys working with young people

  • Maintains high professional standards
