Teacher of Humanities job summary
Endeavour Federation is looking for a dynamic and passionate humanities teacher for our Meade Hill School, with excellent subject knowledge, who can deliver outstanding humanities lessons to pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will co-ordinate humanities at Meade Hill School, whilst working collaboratively with other humanities specialists across the Endeavour Federation, having a resolve to make a real difference to our pupils, setting a level of challenge for all abilities across Key Stage 3. In addition, the role involves delivering aspects of the emotional curriculum and PSHCE to an assigned form group. As Meade Hill is a small school, there may be a need to deliver other subjects.
Skills
- Teach history, geography and/or religious studies up to KS3, with a vision to develop an offer at KS4
- Have an Excellent understanding of assessment in the humanities subjects, using this to improve outcomes for all learners
- Develop high interest activities, to make the humanities subjects come alive to this SEMH cohort
- Understand the importance of high-quality planning, preparation and marking, to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils
