Are you passionate about inspiring young people to understand the world around them?

The Portsmouth Academy is seeking a Teacher of Humanities to join our collaborative team teaching our students from Years 7 - 11.

As a Teacher of Humanities, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that captivate and inspire our students. You will assess and monitor student progress to help them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work with colleagues to develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Additionally, you will actively participate in school life, and professional development opportunities, contributing to the vibrant community at The Portsmouth Academy.

About You:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities subjects.
  • Committed to high standards and raising achievement for all students
  • Keen to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with young people, colleagues and families.
