What skills and experience we're looking for
King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented ICT & Computer Science Teacher to join a proactive ambitious and collaborative department. This post would ideally be for a September start but a January start is available to secure a strong candidate. There may be the opportunity for a linked TLR2.1 as Lead Teacher for Learning Technologies for a suitable candidate.
All students follow a comprehensive Key Stage 3 programme for an hour each per week with many students choosing to continue to Key Stage 4 through either GCSE Computer Science or GCSE Media Studies. We also offer optional additional Microsoft Office Specialist qualifications in Year 10. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and collaborative department. The appointed teacher will also have the opportunity over time to teach post-16 courses through OCR Cambridge Technical qualifications or other related courses. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.
We are looking for a teacher with enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
