The Role

The Richard Barnes Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science teacher who wants to make a difference to children who have had a difficult time in their educational journey. You will join a department that is committed to bringing ‘learning to life’, who continually look for ways to ensure that the curriculum develops the knowledge and skills that our learners require to move onto the next phase of their education. We are looking to appoint a colleague who is highly skilled, committed and shares an unwavering determination to help every student enjoy, achieve and progress in Science from KS3 through to KS4. At KS3 we are following the National Curriculum and at KS4 we follow the AQA Synergy Science qualification. We also offer our learners the opportunity to achieve the CREST awards as part of our offer.

The Richard Barnes Academy is an inclusive primary and secondary alternative provision academy that is committed to safeguarding and learner welfare. We provide specialist support for learners who have experienced difficulties with learning and behaviour in a mainstream setting.
