What skills and experience we're looking for

Class Teacher, Permanent (KS1)

Leeming RAF CP School is looking to recruit an inspiring, compassionate and talented teacher to join our supportive and strong team. The post is permanent and will based in key stage 1 initially, likely in a mixed Y1/2 class.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who is also able to guide the emotional development and well-being of children through a nurturing and supportive approach - helping pupils, particularly our most vulnerable, to realise their full potential.

What the school offers its staff

Leeming RAF School is based ‘behind the wire’ of the RAF Leeming base - a unique context - with 100% service pupils. There are currently 160 pupils on roll, and the school has significantly higher than average pupil mobility. This results in a fast paced, exciting and ever-changing working environment. Owing to the high level of Service Families here, we play a vital part in welcoming, developing, then supporting the transition of children into the next stage of their education.

Candidates will have experience in KS1. ECTs are welcome to apply and should emphasise their experiences in Years 1 or 2. Applications should be personalised to our school’s ethos and context.
