What skills and experience we're looking for
-
That he/she holds qualified teacher status, has experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 and has undertaken recent and relevant professional development.
- To plan and organise delivery of the curriculum (including homework activities) as set out in the school’s long term/medium term and short term plans using the agreed format
- Be an inspirational, enthusiastic good/outstanding class teacher – maximising learning opportunities for all.
- Support the Christian ethos of the school and deliver RE lessons effectively.
- Assess and monitor children’s work, providing feedback, in line with school policies.
- To manage and deploy support staff effectively.
- To create a calm and organised learning environment.
- To assess children’s needs and match activities to reflect individual children’s needs (in line with the SEN Code of Practice).
- To follow an induction programme for children new to the class.
- To be responsible for the positive behaviour management, care and safety of all children in the school.
- To liaise with families and promote their involvement in school.
- To be an effective team member and co-operate in the development of the school by being active during staff meetings.
- To be an effective practioner of ‘assessment for learning’.
- To be responsible for the pastoral care of the children in your class.
- To keep up to date with educational developments.
- To take part in continued professional development programme.
- To develop a curriculum area and work as part of a curriculum team.
- To share responsibility and maintain order and care of centrally stored whole school resources.
- To take part in and lead residential trips, class trips and outdoor learning.
What the school offers its staff
- We are looking to recruit two committed class teachers for September 2023. Come and join our successful, two form entry primary school in Wimbledon. Please note our Autumn term starts on 30th August (inset days)

- Visits to the school are highly recommended. All Saints’ is a member of Southwark Diocese and benefits from the guidance from The Southwark Diocesan Board of Education. Visits to the school are encouraged.
