What skills and experience we're looking for
Boston Spa Academy Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of Mathematics. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy with the successful candidate being responsible for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their potential across a range of exciting and evolving subjects. This opportunity is open to both ECTs and Experienced Teachers.
The ideal applicant will have:
Either:
- A successful placement(s), teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training)
or:
- A successful record of teaching with very good exam results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who already have gained QTS.
- A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium.
- The ability to put vision into practice.

Boston Spa Academy is a mixed, secondary school for children aged 11-18 based in Boston Spa, Wetherby, West Yorkshire with a growing reputation for academic excellence, high quality personal development provision and strong pastoral support. The school has around 1,500 students of which approximately 260 attend the growing sixth form.
In September 2018, Boston Spa Academy officially joined the highly successful and nationally renowned GORSE trust. As a direct impact of working with colleagues at GORSE the academy has moved from being a school with average performance to one which is now well above the national average. Boston Spa Academy is now amongst the highest performing schools in Leeds, the Yorkshire and Humber region and the country.
The academy has invested significantly in facilities for our students in recent years, including a brand new auditorium building, new student and staff toilet areas, renovated dining halls, new classroom areas, brand-new library and IT facilities and our new Sixth Form Centre which opened in September 2026.
