What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our high performing school. This post is suitable for all qualified teachers, including ECTs and those completing PGCE / SCITT / School Direct can apply (subject to award).
As an inspirational and passionate teacher, you will have the energy and commitment to help drive students’ learning. Central to the success of our school is a team of dedicated staff that work hard for our students and each other.
What the school offers its staff
Our last Ofsted report recognised the high expectations, strong leadership, great teaching and positive relationships that underpin the good progress made by our students. Mathematics value added is exceptionally strong, being in the top 20% of all schools nationally for a number of years now. The successful applicant will therefore have a track record of securing similarly strong outcomes for their classes.
In return, staff are well supported and developed through our CPD programme. We take a sensible approach to workload and our staff are well motivated and enjoy coming to work. As a consequence, opportunities to join our school don’t come up very often.
Commitment to safeguarding
Belmont Community School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants
The County Council is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We want to develop a more diverse workforce and we positively welcome applicants from all sections of the community.
