What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic and vibrant teacher of Mathematics to join our well-established department. The successful applicant will be required to teach Mathematics at KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for a suitably qualified candidate. You will join an outstanding Mathematics team, who pride themselves on their innovative approach to helping every student to achieve their full potential. You will benefit from entering a friendly and collaborative department who have a strong track record of supporting and developing teachers who are new to the profession so we welcome applications from ECTs as well as those with more experience in the classroom.
We are looking for a September (ECT July) start date however, we may consider an earlier date for the right candidate.

Who we are
Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school. It comprises two distinct and specialist sites. Our Thurston Campus, for students from Year 7 to Year 11 is situated four miles east of Bury St Edmunds. Thurston Sixth is located in the nearby village of Beyton, offering a bespoke centre of excellence for students in Year 12 and Year 13.
