The Governors of Abbeyfield School are seeking to make the appointment of a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics, initially on a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract. The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team and highly motivated team who are fully committed to ensuring all staff and students fulfil their potential and continue to enjoy enviable success.
KS4 students currently study the AQA maths linear qualification and there is an opportunity for the most able students to sit AQA Further Maths level 2 qualification in year 11.
The department use the AQA qualification at A Level for both Maths and Further Maths as well as Core Maths. Sixth form students also have the opportunity to re-sit their maths GCSE if they have not already achieved a level 4.
