Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity cover) job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful and supportive Mathematics Department on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

The successful candidate will be passionate about mathematics and committed to delivering high-quality teaching that inspires students to achieve their full potential. They will have the ability to teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring excellent outcomes for all learners.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with the ability to teach Mathematics to KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive lessons that promote excellent progress.
  • Have high expectations of students' achievement, behaviour, and attendance.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support student progress.
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a successful and dedicated Mathematics team.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
