In addition, a Curriculum Support Assistant works part-time within the department to support staff with administration tasks & the preparation of resources.
As an Academy and department, we are committed to giving our staff the opportunity to develop their skills; we have a proven track record of our teachers and TLR holders being promoted within school. We have a lead practitioner within the department who is a trained NCETM Mastery Specialist who delivers regular maths focused CPD.
We are committed to all students developing a love of Mathematics and a desire to achieve the very best they can. The department works collaboratively, sharing ideas and good practice both in department and between our secondary partner schools across the Ormiston Academies Trust.
At KS4 students follow the AQA GCSE Mathematics Course, at KS5 we offer A-Levels in Edexcel Mathematics and Further Maths.
