About the Role
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students who benefit from a more personalised and structured learning environment, helping them to strengthen core numeracy and scientific understanding while building confidence and independence.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, adaptive lessons in Mathematics and/or Science to KS3 students within the Thrive to Accelerate group
- Support students in developing fundamental numeracy, problem-solving, and scientific enquiry skills
- Use tailored teaching strategies to address gaps in prior learning and accelerate progress
- Create a calm, supportive, and purposeful classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEN, and inclusion teams to ensure students receive holistic support
- Monitor progress closely and implement targeted interventions
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and/or Science
- Has experience (or a keen interest) in supporting students with additional learning needs
- Is skilled at adapting teaching to meet a wide range of abilities
- Builds strong, positive relationships with students and maintains high expectations
- Is reflective, resilient, and committed to inclusive practice
