Teacher of Mathematics - Second in Department job summary
The Bishop Wand Church of England School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and ambitious Teacher of Mathematics - Second in Department to join our high-performing and supportive Mathematics team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who is passionate about Mathematics and ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Mathematics to drive standards, support curriculum development, and contribute to the continued success of the department.

The Role
As Second in Department, you will:
Support the Head of Mathematics in leading and developing the department
Help drive high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
Contribute to curriculum planning and innovation
Support staff development and mentoring within the team
Analyse performance data to inform intervention and improvement strategies
Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3-5 (including GCSE and A Level)
