Teacher of Mathematics job summary

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational teacher of Maths to join our friendly and supportive Maths department.

Working within a well established and committed staff team whose intent is to foster a deep and lasting understanding of mathematics in our students, equipping them with the confidence and skills to apply mathematical concepts throughout their lives. To accomplish this we aim to work with our students to develop resilient, independent learners who approach mathematics with curiosity and confidence.

By creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment, we aim to instill a love for mathematics, encouraging students to see its relevance and power in the world around them. Furthermore, we aim to nurture critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and numerical fluency, ensuring students can navigate everyday challenges and pursue their future aspirations with confidence in their mathematical ability.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children aged 11-16 years and be able to demonstrate they can implement the academy’s commitment to the safety and welfare of children. They will also demonstrate a passion for the subject, have the ability to inspire students, have commitment to raising participation levels in extra-curricular activities, and have an awareness of curriculum developments across the key stages.

This position is suitable for all teachers, including those undertaking an ECT programme
