Teacher of Maths job summary

We are seeking a full-time permanent Maths teacher to join us from January for a new chapter in Reepham High School and College history, following an extensive restructure, which is now complete. The restructure has enabled us to bolster our support staff, to ensure that our teachers and Heads of Department can focus on the curriculum and teaching & learning.

Reepham High School and College is located 14 miles North-West of Norwich and our intake is broadly in line with the national average in terms of prior attainment, which is reflected in our most recent GCSE results. However, we want our GCSE outcomes to match our A-level outcomes that see us consistently in the top 20% of the country and this is something we are working hard to achieve. Therefore, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they have improved outcomes in their own setting, though we also welcome applications for newly qualified teachers too.

The successful candidate will join a supportive school community that has an ambition to improve the educational outcomes and school experience for all our students and a department that will be fully behind them.

As a school we value subject knowledge and have fully embraced a Rosenshine approach to teaching and learning. We hold high expectations of our students in both their conduct and what they can achieve and value strong working relationships between teachers and students.

Reepham enjoys a set of good quality Maths classrooms, located in the same block and healthy numbers at Maths A-level.

The successful candidate will have excellent subject and pedagogical knowledge as well as strong interpersonal skills and most importantly be a team player. They will teach Maths in both KS3 and KS4 and there is also the option of A-level too.
