The Opportunity

Join Brooke Weston Academy and help shape the future of young people through the power of mathematics. This is an opportunity to inspire confidence, curiosity and ambition in students, helping them gain the knowledge, skills and self-belief that become their “tickets for life”. Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will play a key role in raising achievement, removing barriers to learning and ensuring every student can thrive. Whether you are at the start of your teaching career or looking for your next challenge, you will be supported to develop professionally while making a lasting impact on students, colleagues and the wider Trust community.

About the Role

As a Teacher of Maths at Brooke Weston Academy, you will play a central role in helping students develop the mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in education and beyond. You will deliver engaging and ambitious lessons that challenge, support and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to post-16 provision where appropriate.

Working as part of a collaborative Maths department, you will be responsible for planning high-quality learning experiences, using assessment effectively to monitor progress and adapting your teaching to meet the needs of all learners. You will contribute to curriculum development, work closely with colleagues and parents, and play an important part in the wider life of the school through pastoral support and tutor responsibilities.

Success in this role means securing strong progress for students, creating a positive and purposeful classroom culture, and maintaining the high expectations that underpin the values of Brooke Weston Academy and the wider Brooke Weston Trust. We are looking for a qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping every student achieve their potential. Equally important is the ability to work collaboratively, embrace professional development and contribute positively to a culture of excellent teaching, support and continuous improvement.

Be part of something bigger

At Brooke Weston Trust, we believe education has the power to transform lives. Our purpose is to give every child and young person the knowledge, qualifications, confidence, character and opportunities that become their tickets for life.

Each of our schools has its own identity, shaped by the community it serves, while benefiting from being part of a connected and collaborative Trust. Together, we share ideas, expertise and opportunities so that our pupils, colleagues and schools can flourish.

Whatever your role, you will be part of a wider team united by a shared purpose. Whether you work directly with pupils or support their education in another way, your contribution helps to create the experiences and opportunities every child deserves.

A simple question guides our decisions and keeps children at the centre of our work:

Is this good enough for our children?

A place to belong, grow and make a difference

Our people are central to everything we achieve. We want every colleague to feel that they belong, are valued for their contribution and are supported to build a fulfilling career.

As part of our Trust, you will have opportunities to develop your expertise, learn with and from colleagues across our schools and central teams, contribute your ideas and explore future career opportunities.

You will be part of a professional community that shares knowledge, celebrates success and works together to make a lasting difference to children, families and communities.

We are committed to creating positive and inclusive working environments built on trust, respect and shared responsibility. We want colleagues to feel supported to do their best work, encouraged to develop and confident that their contribution matters.

What we can offer you

Creating tickets for life for our children begins with attracting, developing and supporting great people. We want Brooke Weston Trust to be a place where colleagues feel valued, supported and able to thrive.

Brooke Weston Academy is unusual, and exceptional. We are an innovative and ambitious 11-18 secondary Academy set in the heart of Corby. We are committed to supporting and challenging our students to reach their full potential, inside and outside of the classroom.

Our school was founded 26 years ago in order to transform the education of young people in the community, and we have. Yes, we are outstanding, driven by the needs of our students and our core values. We are never complacent and always restless to improve. Our Academy was born out of the need for change, to be different and innovative; we were designed to be a laboratory of learning in an educational area of disadvantage. We are valued within our community with almost 1000 students applying for the 180 places in year 7 this year.

We are proud to be a high performing state comprehensive with a traditional curriculum but one which also highly values the arts, drama, sport and dance. The success of this vision led to the creation of the Brooke Weston Trust and the Brooke Weston Teaching School Alliance with a mission to 'go to the most difficult places and do good'.

Brooke Weston Trust has grown into a family of 10 primary and secondary schools throughout the East Midlands, united by our mission and values. More than 7,000 students between the ages of 3-18 are now educated in a Brooke Weston Trust school, supported by more than 1000 passionate members of staff.
