Teacher of Maths job summary

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher of Maths, to work within our Maths department. The Maths Team are responsible for the delivery of the maths curriculum to all students in key stages 3 and 4. The school offers maths at A Level to students within the Sixth Form.

The Maths Team is a broad team of staff, who are led by the Head of Maths. The department has been on a journey and is working hard to drive standards yet further for the students. We are looking for a teacher to join this team and buy into the vision, which places the student at the heart of the process.

The department is located in the original building, in the heart of the school. The department has been completely refurbished, having be redecorated, new furniture and state of the art plasma screens installed in every room.

Based in the heart of the Medway Towns, The Robert Napier School is a non-selective, mixed secondary school of 1100 students, including 130 in the Sixth Form. The school is an eclectic mix of the old and the new, with the original buildings constructed in the 1850s when the school was the original ‘Gillingham Grammar School’. Since then, the school has grown to include a range of buildings, the most recent being the ‘Caxton’ block, formally opened in 2011.
