Teacher of Maths (NQT’s welcome)
To commence September 2020

“Leaders, including governors, set the bar high. They have established a truly inclusive school in which pupils from different starting points and backgrounds are encouraged to achieve well and ‘maximise their own potential’. Leaders have secured significant improvements in the quality of teaching and pupils’ outcomes.” Ofsted January 2019

Armthorpe Academy is a small and increasingly popular 11-16 comprehensive school. Our students are talented and passionate – and the same is true of our staff.

We put huge emphasis on professional development, most of it in-house, and are proud of the high number of good and outstanding teachers who work in our school.

Our schools ethos is that every pupil should be supported in every way possible – given security, stability and encouragement pupils will improve on their journey.

As part of Consilium Multi Academy Trust our vision is to ensure that everything that we do has a focus on helping children and young people to succeed to their potential academically, socially and emotionally. If your values as a teaching professional are akin to this then this post could be the next Step forward in your career.

Our opportunity

A passionate and enthusiastic Maths teacher is required from Easter or September 2020 to teach in our new state of the art classrooms that were completed in November 2019. The successful candidate will teach Maths in an outstanding and well-resourced department which in the summer of 2019 achieved its highest grades to date. Our team are forward thinking, collaborative, highly successful and constantly looking to improve. In addition we are looking for someone that will contribute to the school’s wide-ranging programme of co-curricular activities.

The post would suit either a recently qualified graduate (full NQT induction is available) or a more experienced teacher looking to develop his/her career in a supportive, hardworking and dedicated team.

• A fully inclusive school operating a successful behavioural system
• An opportunity to work towards a move in to middle leadership within our trust

• Working within a MAT who pride themselves as being friendly and supportive; with schools who together are helping to transform communities
• A school offering its pupils extra-curricular activities Inc. the Duke of Edinburgh Award
In what we believe to be an outstanding opportunity we are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher to join the department on its journey of improvement.
