Atlantic Academy Portland is an all-through school situated on the beautiful Jurassic coast. The successful candidate who fills this Head of Maths vacancy will enjoy these breathtaking sea views.

This role is one that has freedom and flexibility in order for you to make it your own and inspire our students and will suit a highly-skilled professional who is also team-orientated. Successful applicants may also be eligible to benefit from the Levelling Up Payment scheme for Teachers.

In Maths, our intent is for the curriculum to promote a curiosity about the world in which our students live. The curriculum will enable our students to be confident to understand and ask questions. We want them to take a responsible attitude towards the world and adopt a lifelong interest in Maths. We will support our learners to develop skills that are transferable across all subjects and employment in later life, developing their knowledge to enable them to thrive in and beyond lessons. Our goal is for learners to leave Atlantic Academy with the ability to ‘think like a mathematician’ and be inspired to continue the study of Maths.

At Atlantic Academy we guide and nurture our staff and pupils in equal measure.
