What skills and experience we're looking for
A Rare Opportunity to Join a Unique School
The Elizabethan Academy is an oversubscribed and highly popular 11-19 stand-alone academy with a fantastic reputation for supporting all students and staff in equal measure. We recognise that our staff are our most important asset, and we are committed to protecting their wellbeing while providing high-quality training and development opportunities.
We are immensely proud to be an outward-facing and innovative stand-alone academy. Teachers are given the freedom to be creative in their pedagogy while ensuring that every child receives the high-quality education they deserve. We also recognise the value of subject expertise and place strong emphasis on this through our tailored CPD programme. We believe that teachers learn even more from observing others than from being observed themselves, and we have a strong commitment to coaching as a tool for professional growth.
This is an exciting time to join the Academy. Under the direction of a new Principal, a number of positive changes have already been implemented, with more planned in the near future to support our journey toward excellence.
The Role: Teacher of Maths (MPS/UPS)
We are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic Teacher of Maths to join our team. This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced applicants. We can offer KS3 and KS4 teaching, with KS5 and Further Maths available for the right candidate. The role is likely to include some intervention work at least for this academic year.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
Embrace our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience.
Be passionate about teaching Maths and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for students.
Demonstrate ambition and optimism about what both the academy and every student can achieve.
Have the drive to make a real impact—whether as a Form Tutor, through extra-curricular activities, or by leading an enrichment session in a unique area that ignites their passion.
