An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and able Maths Teacher to join our Maths department on a permanent basis. We are looking for an excellent practitioner to work collaboratively with the department raising academic achievement and ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress in Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be:
Able to inspire pupils of all abilities within Maths to achieve their highest potential across Key Stage 3/4.

Crofton Academy joined Castleford Academy Trust in 2020 and has since been on a rapid improvement journey supported by the leaders of the ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated Castleford Academy. Since joining the Trust leaders and staff have ambitiously worked towards improving the quality of education for pupils at the Academy and have responded positively to change. Extra capacity within the senior leadership team has been secured and the school improvement plan has been sharply focused on the right priorities. At the last monitoring visit, Ofsted commented “Steps have been taken to improve behaviour and attendance and to develop the quality of the curriculum”, therefore this is a very exciting time to join us in our journey.

The school has a strong mentoring ethos and a training programme would be available to an ECT if successful.
