Teacher of Maths
The opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an inspiring and engaging Maths teacher who would be able to come and work with us.

You should be an excellent classroom practitioner and able to teach across the age and ability range at Key Stages 3 and 4. This post is full time, fixed term from 1st January 2020 to 31st August 2020 and would be ideal for either a gifted NQT or an experienced professional. Essential skills and experience
Excellent subject knowledge. Strong knowledge of pedagogy and the process of teaching and learning. Ability to clearly understand and explain the characteristics of high quality teaching Ability to analyse student progress data and its application, with appropriate strategies, in raising student achievement and attainment. Good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum particularly related to subject specialism. Ability to contribute to collaborative planning and schemes of learning. Good understanding of differentiation/inclusion. Awareness of SEN teaching and learning strategies. Awareness of AfL and its contribution in raising standards of achievement. Good ICT skills with an awareness of how these contribute to enhancing teaching and learning and progress in the classroom.

Richard Lander School is a popular school, over subscribed in several year groups. We have 1441 students on roll and this number is growing. Mr Steve Mulcahy, is our Headteacher and has been since 2008. The building and grounds are part of a PFI contract and are maintained to a very high standard.
