Sawtry Village Academy has an exciting vacancy for a talented, enthusiastic, and ambitious Mathematics Teacher to start in September 2025.
Due to the Academy’s continued success, a rare opportunity has arisen to join our successful, and incredible Mathematics team. Our Mathematics department is located within a new, purpose built, state of the art building. Each classroom is fully equipped with interactive touch screen TVs, offering a pleasant and productive working environment, conducive to learning, with staff having their own laptops and classroom.
This would be both an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher. As an Academy and department, we are committed to giving our staff the opportunity to develop their skills; we have a proven track record of our teachers and TLR holders being promoted within school and the wider Trust.
We are committed to all students developing a love of Mathematics and a desire to achieve the very best they can. The department works collaboratively, sharing ideas and good practice both in department and between our secondary partner schools across the Meridian Trust.
The Academy supports teachers to access the National Professional Qualifications and we are able to offer this excellent professional development opportunity for those interested. ECTs also enjoy good quality support through experienced mentors, reduced timetable and tailored induction programme.

The ideal candidate will be:
an outstanding Mathematics Teacher or trainee/ECT;
experience of teaching at KS3 and KS4;
ability to use IT to support effective teaching and learning;
able to build effective working relationships with students and staff;
able to provide stimulating and engaging experiences for our students, challenging them to achieve beyond their expectations and supporting them to become lifelong learners;
willing and committed to developing and sharing outstanding teaching practice;
able to work in partnership with children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community.
