Teacher of Maths job summary
The Campion School is committed to providing the best possible learning and working environment for both pupils and staff.
As we look to bolster our already vastly talented teaching staff, we currently have a vacancy for a Teacher of Maths.
The standard of teaching throughout The Campion School is incredibly high and the Maths Department is no different. Working passionately to inspire a real love and interest in Maths, the team here consistently achieves great results at both GCSE and A Level. It is extremely important to us that our students are given maximum opportunity to pursue Maths to the highest possible level and we currently have over 100 students taking Maths or Further Maths at A-level, with many looking to take these subjects through to university. We understand just how important a role we have to play in their future successes and what an important role the school has to support our teachers.
89% of students achieved a grade 4 and above at GCSE in 2019, 29% above the national average. 90% of A level students achieved a grade A*-C in Maths and 100% in Further Maths
The Maths Department is made up of seven teachers who have helped create a supportive and collaborative working environment, ensuring that the standards that we hold dear are consistently upheld.
You’ll be joining a team with a number of experienced teachers who will support your development. This makes this role ideal for an NQT or Maths Teacher in the first few years of their career. Equally, it would also be a great opportunity for someone with more experience under their belt to progress further amongst some talented colleagues. Help with accommodation may be available as the school is currently developing on-site provision for teachers new to the profession.
About us
