Teacher of MFL job summary

At the Stourport High School & VIth Form College, we believe that learning a foreign language provides an opening to other cultures and that this is underpinned by a high-quality languages education that fosters students’ curiosity and deepens their understanding of the world. We are looking to appoint a dynamic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher who is innovative and inspiring and has the ability to deliver a French and/or Spanish curriculum that is authentic and engages our students. The successful candidate will share our values, be passionate about their subject and inspire all students to share their enthusiasm for languages. The post will involve working with the Head of MFL and the rest of the MFL team to share ideas, contribute to curriculum planning and the creation of high-quality resources for French and/or Spanish across Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring that students make progress through quality first teaching. The postholder will have the ability to demonstrate their commitment to their subject and how they can support the SAET Trust’s drive towards the continual improvement of the quality of students’ learning. We are looking for someone who can teach both French and Spanish at KS3 and at least one of those languages at KS4. The ability to teach Spanish to KS5 level is desirable, although not essential.
