Job description
Under the direction of the Headteacher, to carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School Teachers' Pay & Conditions document.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
Essential educational requirements
Degree in French or Spanish
Essential qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status
Essential skills and experience
Good knowledge of national and local initiatives in Modern Foreign Languages
Ability to use a variety of teaching strategies
Experience of monitoring and evaluating pupils' learning
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate, challenge and inspire pupils
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
