What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful and supportive Modern Foreign Languages team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed MFL teacher (Spanish and German or French) who has ambitious aspirations for all students and a passion for high-quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will inspire students, support colleagues, and contribute to a dynamic department with a wealth of experience. You will deliver excellent teaching across KS3–KS4 (and beyond), promoting strong progress and positive outcomes for all learners.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong subject and curriculum knowledge, and who can create an atmosphere of passion, energy, and high expectations in the classroom.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to develop professionally within a highly supportive team and make a real impact on students’ language learning journeys

What the school offers its staff

- Voluntary Secret Friend Scheme – a fun initiative that helps build positive relationships and small acts of kindness among staff.

- Competitive Annual Traitors Game – a popular whole-staff event that adds a sense of fun and community across the school.

- Voluntary Cover Bank – staff can opt to provide additional cover lessons and earn time in lieu, which can be taken on a term date that suits them.

- Free On-Site Parking – ample parking available for staff.

- External Staff Coach / Employee Assistance Programme – confidential support including counselling, financial advice, and wellbeing services.

- House System – encourages staff to get to know colleagues and students outside their department, helping strengthen the wider school community.

- Optional paid lunch duties to increase earnings

Flexible working opportunities

Optional 'cover bank' where you can earn days off in lieu for term time days off of your choice
