Weare seeking a well qualified linguist who is able to deliver engaging

and challenging lessons to students of all abilities The ideal candidate

would be enthusiastic and hard working, able to deliver Spanish lessons

up to A Level and French lessons, ideally across all key stages but with

confidence up to KS 3 This role is suitable for ECTs or experienced

teachers


Spanishwas introduced three years ago and we currently have a Y 10 GCSE Spanish class alongside French and German in Y 11 and up to A Level. Eventually, Spanish will replace the teaching of German so that Spanish and French will be taught up to A level

Theideal candidate will also support the wider work of the MFL department’s development and be willing and able to assist with the creation of high quality resources as well as a willingness to organise and take part in trips abroad We run a very popular French trip to Le Touquet and a new Spanish trip to Granada

Thedepartment is housed in a dedicated MFL block at the centre of the school which comprises four teaching rooms and a staff workroom The department is well equipped with whiteboards in all rooms and a full range of up to date digital teaching and learning resources to enhance students’ learning.
