Teacher of Modern Foreign Language job summary
Cottenham Village College has an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join their team!
We wish to appoint a full-time or part-time teacher, who will be required to teach to the full ability range across Years 7-11. This position would be ideal for an early career teacher or an experienced teacher who has the ability to teach French as their main specialism with Spanish.
If you join us as a newly- or recently-qualified teacher then you will be provided with a supportive and friendly environment in which to begin your career, with a full induction programme; you will have also additional time for your training and development, working with a trained mentor. The department has considerable experience in supporting the development of teachers and draws on the best practice inside and outside the school to do so.
As our Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, you will be:
• Teaching allocated students by planning their teaching to achieve progression of learning
• Positively targeting and supporting individual learning needs
• Maintaining high levels of behaviour and discipline
• Using performance data to evaluate students’ progress and set appropriate targets for improvement
We are looking for individuals who have:
• Qualified teacher status
• Detailed understanding of planning the KS3 curriculum
• Proven experience of teaching at KS3, KS4 with excellent classroom management skills
