Rainhill High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part time 0.6 Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our vibrant department on a permanent basis.
We are looking for a teacher who can deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that build students' confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, we provide a supportive environment where your professional development is a priority.
The successful candidate will be able to;
- Deliver high-quality Spanish and French lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (experience with KS5 is desirable).
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages spontaneous use of the target language.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help every learner reach their potential.
- Contribute to the development of innovative schemes of work and departmental resources.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including parent evenings and potentially supporting language trips or clubs.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to teaching and the ability to develop our students’ love of learning in modern foreign languages.

Professional knowledge and understanding

Assessment

Ability to teach Spanish and French subjects to GCSE
Ability to teach Spanish to A-Level
Near native fluency in Spanish (written & spoken) and a second language (French)
Willingness to assist in delivery of extracurricular activities
An awareness of safeguarding children issues

11-18 Mixed Academy 1534 on roll Rainhill High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form centre located in Rainhill, Merseyside, England. The school converted to an academy under Rainhill Learning Village in March 2017. More recently, the school has become part of the Stephenson MAT and was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in February 2023.
