Teacher of Music (0.4fte - 0.6fte) job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Music who is passionate about their subject and able to make a positive contribution to the learning experiences of our students. Music is very popular at Oakmoor with an excellent track record of success. The Performing Arts Department is well resourced with a professional auditorium/theatre space and a dedicated music suite.
The lessons we teach are dynamic, varied and interesting, with all students being challenged in a supportive environment. Teachers individualise their own lessons within the curriculum strand being taught. You will be teaching across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4 in an environment where students are well behaved and keen to do well. Music is a popular Key Stage 4 option with a significant number of students opting for it as a subject.
Applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or experienced teachers are encouraged. We are looking for someone who has excellent subject knowledge and strong teaching skills.
