Teacher of Music from September 2021 or July 2021 for NQTs job summary
We are seeking to appoint an excellent music teacher who is passionate about promoting a love for music to students inside and outside of the classroom and across our whole school community. This is a great opportunity for either an established music teacher or an NQT to join a committed team of staff who share their passion and skills with students at all levels of ability and understanding. We strive at Chace to awaken the voice of music in all capacities for our students to be the best they can be as listeners, performers and composers.
We encourage every student to participate and enjoy their experience of music and raise their expectations of their abilities. We encourage them all to exceed those expectations from those students with no music experience, students with special educational needs through to those who are gifted and talented.
There is a strong tradition of music at Chace. Students are encouraged to develop their skills of performance through extra-curricular activities. The successful candidate will be invited to work with students to prepare them for music concerts and tours. There is a high level of uptake for GCSE music at Chace which is a direct result of the excellent work achieved at KS3 as well as the work of a devoted team of practitioners from the Enfield Music Service. In addition to GCSE we also offer A-level music when required. Our school also enjoys collaboration with outside agencies and artists in residence and we are constantly seeking ways to develop cross curricular opportunities
