TEACHER OF MUSIC

Required as soon as possible

Part time or full time can be considered for the right candidate

We are looking for a fully qualified, enthusiastic teacher of music to join our Performing Arts Team. Our music department is a thriving one, one which encourages creativity in everyone. All pupils gain first-hand experience of learning musical instruments and using them to create music individually and in band situations. The courses delivered are practical and relevant to society today. Pupils who opt to take music at KS4, study GCSE Music which gives substantial opportunities for live performance and independent project work. The department features an iMac suite, which runs software such as Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live. Whole school events which feature performance are significant dates in the school calendar and valued by the school.

The successful applicant will fully embed themselves into the successful performing arts team, having the ability to confidently teach all aspects of music at Key Stage 3 and 4. A love of music from all genres and styles is required, as well as a passion to develop the choir. Candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness to contribute ideas and add value to extra-curricular activities.

GTS sits in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside with easy access to the many stunning beaches of north Devon and north Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to, not only relocate to a beautiful part of the country, but to develop their career in an environment where CPD and personal growth are valued.
