What skills and experience we're looking for

The School includes the following subjects: English, MFL, Drama, Dance and Music. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher, able to demonstrate a passion for their subject area and the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities in the 16-19 range. With a demonstrable record of good or outstanding results, you will have a commitment to raising aspirations and supporting the wider college community. If you are currently undertaking initial teacher training you will have demonstrated outstanding potential and aptitude for post-16 teaching.
What the school offers its staff
New College Doncaster, an academic sixth form college, offers a distinctive young adult ethos and is a great place to work and study. With 1500 students, New College Doncaster has grown rapidly since opening in 2017 and students make exceptional progress in both A level and level 3 applied general courses. The college is proud to have been rated ‘outstanding’ in all categories in its 2021 Ofsted inspection: “Students at New College Doncaster experience a culture of very high expectations, which supports them to maximise their potential and achieve their aspirations. Teachers challenge students to be the best that they can be, to have very high levels of attendance and punctuality, and to develop strong, independent learning skills.” The three Colleges within the Trust work closely together, presenting exciting opportunities for collaboration, support, development and progression.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join our dynamic team at the forefront of change and to make a real difference to raising standards of education in the local community. New College Doncaster delivers primarily A Level provision, alongside a number of Level 3 BTEC qualifications and some Level 2 provision.
If you believe that you have the skills and abilities to take on this role, we’d love to hear from you.
