Teacher of Music job summary

Saltley Academy is looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Music, who is ready to make a significant impact in a successful department, housed within a purpose built Arts Centre. The successful candidate will be joining a well-led and successful team, committed to providing a quality experience for our students and ensuring that they achieve their full potential. They will be joining an Academy and a Multi Academy Trust committed to their professional development and to supporting them to achieve the best with our young people, with the Arts playing a central role in the life of the Academy and the Trust. We are looking for an outstanding teacher with: •ambition and high expectations to transform the lives of young people; •a passionate belief in collaboration and teamwork; •a student-centred approach to problem solving; •a clear understanding of how to engage students and maximise progress; •a sense of humour and positivity; •a relentless commitment to achievement for all. • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate. • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as a teacher/ Form Tutor • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. • To contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment and progress. • To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
