Teacher of PE - Fixed Term job summary

Details

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of PE with the ability to deliver a variety of sports, including football, rugby, basketball and athletics to join an excellently resourced PE department at this successful and oversubscribed comprehensive school. The successful candidate will have a degree in Sports Science or equivalent, experience of GCSE and Vocational courses would be desirable. This is a fixed term contract for two Terms to cover for the absence of the substantive postholder on sickness leave. Should the employee return to duty before the final date above, the appointment will cease with statutory notice.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To teach PE across the ability and 11-18 age range in line with departmental schemes of work and policies.
  • To participate in the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials and schemes of work.
  • To be accountable for student progress by liaising with teaching and support staff to monitor and support individual children and teaching groups.
