Teacher of PE Part-time Maternity Cover
The Stockwood Park Academy have a great opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated Teacher of Physical Education to join our wonderful department. The Stockwood Park Academy are proud of the education experience offered and you will certainly benefit from forward-thinking and supportive leadership, an encouraging and enthusiastic staff body and enterprising students. Our PE team of 8 work together to oversee lessons and to provide an extensive programme of enrichment activities. Strong emphasis on subject specific CPD. This position would suit a qualified PE experienced member of staff, who can teach a range of sports games across Key stage 3 and 4.
Our students respond to Physical Education lessons very positively and enjoy using our state-of-the-art equipment and resources. We also have very active sport teams who compete against other schools in the area.

Key Duties
To set high expectations for all pupils, to deepen their knowledge and understanding and to maximise their achievement.
To use a variety of methods and approaches (including differentiation) to match curricular objectives and the range of pupil needs and ensure equal opportunity for all pupils.
To ensure continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all teaching.
To assess pupils’ work systematically and use the results to inform future planning, teaching and curricular development.
To have a thorough and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum programmes of study, level descriptors and specifications for examination courses.
The successful candidate will have
Have qualified teacher status and experience delivering Physical Education and a 2nd subject advantageous.
KS3 and KS4 experience.
Be able to teach a range of sports games.
Commitment to extra-curricular PE.
Aspire to develop further as a professional.
Flexible, adaptable, ambitious, hard-working and a team player.
Have experience of working in a diverse multi-cultural school.
Resilience, adaptability and a can-do attitude.
A commitment to inclusive education support from a hard-working team.
Be able to demonstrate the appropriate motivation to work with young people.
Use data to inform target setting and planning.
The ability to work as part of a team and undertake pastoral duties as a form tutor will be a key requirement.
