Teacher of PE with Science job summary
The successful candidate must be able to teach across the full range of sporting activities as well as GCSE PE and A Level Physical Education. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to teach Science lessons, with specific responsibilities and teaching allocation determined according to their experience and expertise. The department has emerged as a lead department in a very high-performing academy due to a relentless focus on excellent PE pedagogy. We are seeking a teacher who shares this drive for quality first teaching and who has a genuine appetite for CPD.
A full commitment to our vast wider curriculum programme is expected, with clubs before and after school. The department feels strongly about providing students with exposure to elite sport and adventurous activities, so the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a calendar of off-site visits.
The specific responsibilities will be determined according to the strengths of the successful candidate.
