What skills and experience we're looking for
Physical Education is a highly valued subject at the College with the experienced team achieving high levels of success both in and outside of the classroom. Currently the College is Varsity champions for sport, a position held consecutively for the last six years. Our commitment to extracurricular sport is second-to-none and a number of our students are supported through our scholarship programme to achieve recognition at regional and national level.
Applications are welcomed from either ECTs, who will be well supported by experienced mentors, or from more experienced candidates where there are exceptional opportunities for further professional development and promotion. The appointed candidate will be joining a strong and supportive team of specialist teachers who take pride in achieving the best outcomes for all students.
We have outstanding sporting and teaching facilities throughout the Federation with our students benefiting from access to a large, modern sports centre, astro-turf and adjoining playing fields. We offer the opportunity to teach A level sport for suitably qualified candidates, at our partner sixth form Harington School. Both Catmose College and Harington School are part of the Rutland and District Schools’ Federation, both of which have been graded outstanding by Ofsted.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and welcome applications from candidates looking for a variety of flexible working arrangements including, but not limited to; part time working and a job share.
