Teacher of Physical Education job summary

Ivybridge Community College are looking to appoint a full-time PE Teacher to join our PE Department for the new academic year 2025-2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, committed and hardworking department. Each colleague is involved in taking on responsibilities within the department and all contribute to the high quality of Enrichment opportunities available to the students. The department is highly enthusiastic about the provision and opportunities we provide to all students across all aspects of Physical Education, and we work constantly to develop our department to maintain our high standards of delivery and provision.

Purpose:

To carry out the duties of a teacher as set out in the most recent School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document. Your aim is to be an effective teacher and tutor who challenges and supports all your students to do their best and achieve their potential by:

Inspiring trust and confidence in your students and colleagues.

Building team commitment amongst your students and colleagues.

Engaging and motivating students.

Taking positive action to improve the quality of your students’ learning.
